Installing Sinks Under Solid Surface and Stone

Lansen sinks can be installed under all types and brands of solid surface, under all brands of engineered stone and under all natural granites.

Installing under solid surface is simple. We do not include instructions here because if you are certified to install solid surface, you are certified to install one of our sinks. Install a Karran sink exactly the same way you would any other solid surface sink. The only difference is during the final routering. Here, instead of the normal 1/2" roundover bit, we recommend that you use a 3/8" roundover bit with an a° angle of 10° or less. Velepec refers to this bit by the model #30-150. All of the other bit companies will offer an identical bit. Since the acrylic wall of a Karran sink is a little thinner than a typical poured sink wall, this bit angle cuts minimally into the wall.

When installing under stone, simply use the sink to create a template. If you have a CNC machine, click on the link below to be directed to our DXF File Download Center. Download the DXF file below that corresponds to the relevant model. Please confirm orientation of file before cutting stone. You are responsible to ensure the accuracy of the file prior to cutting.
